The Hat - This cosy, comfortable beanie is a joy to create and to wear. Enjoy the process of creating your own beautiful beanies and take great joy in gifting, wearing or selling your finished pieces.

The delightful pattern comes with two brim styles, one with a quicker brim created with ribbing that you will work up in no time. And the other with a very stretchy brim that takes longer to create but is well worth it!

This beanie is easily able to have more or less slouch. Simple instructions are given for making a more fitted beanie, or for creating extra slouch.

Instructions are given for making this beanie in your favourite yarn weights, from Sport 5ply through to Aran 10-12 ply weight!

Yarn and Hook:
DK yarn has been used for this pattern, with a 5.5mm (US I-9) hook.

Gauge: 16 fsc US/ 16 fdc UK = 10 cm (4in)

Yardage:
Using under 100g of DK weight yarn (for almost every size, depending on your personal tension), this cowl can be made very economically. Perfect for that special single skein of hand dyed yarn you’ve been waiting for the right project for!

Sizes:
Available in 6 sizes, this cowl can be made to fit most members of the family from children to adults.The various sizes can be used not only for different ages and head sizes, but also for a closer fit. The XS can be worn by most adults as a close-fitting neck warmer, and the XL by these same adults as a drapey infinity cowl

Care - Handwash only. This is a non superwash yarn. We recommend that all our hand dyed yarns are hand washed in cool or tepid water and dried flat for best care.

Hand-dyed in small batches in Brisbane, Australia. We try to represent colourways as accurately as possible in our product photos. Colours may vary slightly from skein to skein, even within the same dyelot, which is the nature of hand-dyeing. If you buy more than one, we will do our best to match them up. Please ensure you buy enough to finish your project as future dyelots may have subtle differences. We also recommend that you alternate between skeins every few rows on larger projects.
