100% SRS (Soft Rolled Skin) non-mulesed Merino Wool.

8 Ply (DK weight) 200m per 100 gram skein.

This yarn is deliciously soft for a non-superwash, natural wool. It has a beautiful soft sheen and smoothness that makes it hard to believe it’s a non-superwash yarn. It’s just delightful to knit and crochet with, and perfect to wear even next to your skin. The sheep are clipped when their fleece is 100mm in length, unlike the usual 60mm. This method ensures the longer staple length gives the yarn a smooth feel, reduces pilling, and minimizes felting. It truly is a premium product, grown in Australia and milled in New Zealand, which we are proud to introduce.

Care - Hand wash only. We recommend all our hand-dyed yarns be hand-washed in cool or tepid water and dried flat for best care.

Small batch dyed in Brisbane, Australia. Colours may vary slightly from skein to skein, even within the same dyelot, which is the nature of hand-dyeing. Please ensure you buy enough to finish your project, as future dyelots may have subtle differences. We also recommend alternating between skeins every few rows on larger projects.
